|What is Chiropractic|
Chiropractic is a health care system that is focused on maintaining and restoring the integrity of the nervous system by reducing or removing nerve interference caused by the spine. It is based on scientific fact: The nervous system controls every cell of the body, therefore all systems and functions of the body. Nerve impulses originate in the brain, travel down the spinal cord, out through the nerves to every organ and tissue. Impulses are then sent back to the brain to confirm that the body is working as it should.
A spinal bone (vertebra) not in its normal position/misaligned (subluxation) can interfere by irritating adjacent nerves. The result can become a compromised nervous system causing pain and spinal related conditions. Chiropractic restores the integrity of the nervous system by reducing interferences caused by the spine.
Chiropractic is the science of locating malfunctioning spinal structures, the art of reducing their impact to the nervous system, and the philosophy that, when working properly, the body has the potential to heal itself. The alignment of the spine protects the healthy communication pathways of the spinal cord and nerve roots.
